"Celebrating 30 Years" of displaying Original Art to Art-lovers from around the world in Vancouver's Historic 'Gastown'.

Sam was born in Denmark, educated at the University of Western Ontario (London) and studied Fine Art at the Ontario College of Art (Toronto). He developed a truly unique and original style early in his professional career. Although Sam's originals are executed in Old-Master oil painting technique. the finished canvases come alive in a modern and magical way.

In 2019 Sam volunteered teaching art to Mayan children in Guatemala for 3 months through Project Somos. The below photo is with Sam, his wife Fern and the graduating class of students (aged 3 to 12) at the very first Art Show held at the project. Recently declared a National Heritage District, Gastown has a rich history as Vancouver's oldest neighbourhood. It is here on the cobblestone streets that Sam displays his artwork at the corner of Abbott and Water Street.

Sam has visited the major art museums of 17 European countries, traveled through China, India, Cuba, Bermuda and Nepal. He has painted on the east and west coasts of Canada and been to every province and territory, most of the US, Mexico and Guatemala. He earned his Queen Scout, pilot license and Black Belt in Karate. He maintains his home and private studio beside Granville Island in Vancouver.
